Ryder Cup Rules

This is a tentative break down of rules and matches

Opening Round (6 points available):  1 v 1 Stableford: Captains will decide the 1v1 matchups, oppposing players will play a Stableford format where the player with the highest total points scored at the end of the round will win the match. Each 1v1 match will count as 1 point towards the team Ryder Cup race to 12.5 team points. Stableford scoring will be:

    ▪    1 point for net bogey

    ▪    2 points for net par

    ▪    5 for a net birdie

    ▪    8 for net eagle

    ▪    10 for double eagle. 

Day 2 Morning Round (4 points available):  2-man 1-2 Game: Captains will decide pairings and matchups, this will be a matchplay round where the two man teams will use only one net score on the odd holes and then their combined net score on the even holes. Matchplay you only need to outperform your opponent on individual holes not total score, so whichever team wins more holes will earn a point for their team in the Ryder Cup race to 12.5 team points. (Team A wins 4&3 over Team B)

Day 2 Afternoon Round (4 Points available): 2-man BestBall: Captains will decide pairings and matchups, this will be a matchplay round where the two man teams will use the best net score for each hole. Matchplay you only need to outperform your opponent on individual holes not total score, so whichever team wins more holes will earn a point for their team in the Ryder Cup race to 12.5 team points. (Team A wins 1UP over Team B)

Final Round (6 Points available): 1v1 Match Play: Captains will decide matchups for the pivotal final round of the PRyder Cup.  This will be 8 singles matches with handicaps. Matchplay you only need to outperform your opponent on individual holes not total score, so whichever player wins more holes will earn a point for their team in the Ryder Cup race to 12.5 team points. (Player A wins 2&1 over Player B)
